1st May - Feast of St Joseph, the Worker - Mariam

"I feel the Virgin Mary is like a ray of hope and a ray of light to me coz, whenever I'm down or sad or I get low sometimes, a Hail Mary or a prayer to her always lifts me up and says that my good mother is always looking after me, and that she will be like a mother and protect me and guide me. So the Virgin Mary is very special. She always gives me hope and grace, and I hope she can do that for you as well. Whether you say a Hail Mary or just think about her and ask for her help, I'm sure she'll be there for you and listen to your needs and to your prayers and give you a mother's affection, which is like no other."

Mariam is 21 & from Iraq.

Our Lady's message to Mirjana Soldo, Međugorje, 2nd May 2012:

"Dear children! With motherly love I implore you to give me your hands, permit me to lead you. I, as a mother, desire to save you from restlessness, despair and eternal exile. My Son, by His death on the Cross, showed how much He loves you; He sacrificed Himself for your sake and the sake of your sins. Do not keep rejecting His sacrifice and do not keep renewing His sufferings with your sins. Do not keep shutting the doors of Heaven to yourselves. My children, do not waste time. Nothing is more important than unity in my Son. I will help you because the Heavenly Father is sending me so that, together, we can show the way of grace and salvation to all those who do not know Him. Do not be hard hearted. Have confidence in me and adore my Son. My children, you cannot be without the shepherds. May they be in your prayers every day. Thank you."

Maria is from London.

5th May - Frederick

"My devotion to Our Lady stems really back to my early childhood, to my family life; my mother had a great devotion to Our Lady. I have found in my life that at all times but particularly at times of difficulty or crisis, Our Lady is an excellent person to turn to. Also she is a great model of charity, love, and of faith; that for me comes more strongly as time goes by. I am also conscious of the Latin quotation: To Jesus through Mary."

Frederick is from Belgium.

6th May - Marian

"I had a lot of scepticism and everything about coming to Medjugorje, and I feel I had a lot of obstacles to overcome and I had a lot of tragedies in my life, and I feel that the Blessed Mother put her hand on my shoulder and brought me here to Medjugorje. It has been an eye-opener to see everybody with the Blessed Mother in their heart, and coming that so many miracles have taken place through the Blessed Mother."

Marian is from the United States of America.

7th May - Franice

"This is my 6th journey to Medjugorje, and I come for Our Mother's call. She's calling all of us, she's calling all of us to be closer to her son. She does not want to be the centre but she is like a mother: she enfolds us, she covers us with her mantle, she blesses us. There are many graces that pour from this site and the most important, beyond the visionaries, beyond the sites and beyond the swirling sun, is the change of heart,& is that you leave your hard heart and your mother replaces it with a heart that is soft and open to Our Lord Jesus. And as our mother says: 'Come. Come and meet my son, come and meet him here.'"

Franice is from the United States.

13th May - Feast of Our Lady of Fatima - Sisi

"I started to know our Virgin Mary through my grandma .. My grandma always prayed the rosary every day, she was very practicing. I didn't know what the rosary was about but she always told me that if I prayed to the Virgin Mary, she would help me, she would bless me. My grandma passed away two years ago and I started to try to push myself to get into the rosary, to know more about this, because my grandma was such a grateful person, practicing her faith with Our Lady, Mary. So I would like to say that I want to be a person who is loved and I would like to stay with Our Lady, so that is why I want to know more about the rosary."

Sisi is from China & gives her 些關於瑪麗 in English & Mandarin.

14th May - Daphne

Elena is 24 & from Eritrea; she gives her something in English & Tigrinya.

16th May - Peter

"Our Lady is very important to me in my life. She is to me the ultimate symbol of acceptance of God's will and having the courage to follow God's will. She must have been so frightened in her life when God asked her to carry Jesus in her womb, and also throughout her son Christ's life, and at the foot of the Cross when he was dying. She must have been so courageous because she didn't know the plan but she believed and accepted God's will. If I can pray for that in my life, a day at a time, then I believe I can find peace through Our Lady. Amen."

Peter is from London.

17th May - Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord - Father Joe

"Our Lady always said yes to God. She said yes when the angel Gabriel came to her and although she asked an intelligent question (it's good to ask questions, it's good to know exactly what God wants), she asked an intelligent question to know God's will. The minute she understood, she said a decisive yes and that yes took her all the way to Calvary, to the Cross; it wasn't the yes of a moment, it was the yes that was a lifelong yes."

Father Joe Evans is a priest of Opus Dei and university chaplain at King's College, London.

18th May - Joe

"For me Our Lady is the ultimate example of humility."

Joe is from England.

19th May - John Paul

"Our Lady invited me to go to Medugorje in summer 2010 and from that time she has been leading me back to her son, Jesus. So I just encourage all of you to turn to Our Lady. If you're experiencing any difficulties in your life, turn to Our Lady and she'll never let you down. She'll hold you by the hand if you ask her and, through the rosary, she'll lead you back to her son, Jesus."

John Paul is 32 & from Ireland.

"I finally get it about the whole Mary thing."

Jill is from the US; she is the mother of Erin, whose birthday it is today (Happy Birthday, dear Erin).

21st May - Penelope

"Something that I like as a English British Catholic is that we seem to have a particular devotion: England is Mary's dowry, and we say a Hail Mary in Mass after the bidding prayers .. So it adds a certain specialness to the fact of being British and Catholic and the place of Our Lady in our lives."

Penelope is from England.

22nd May - Francesca

"Mary is like my mother."

La Virgen María es come la mia madre"

Francesca is from Venezuela.

23rd May - Jude

"Whenever we come to Our Lady with our problems, she is always there to show us to Our Lord, to Jesus. As a human being that gave her life to the Lord in perfection, she is an example to us of what we as simple human beings can do in service to God. In her closeness to Our Lord, she is also an example within the Holy Family of how to be close to Our Lord in his humanity and in his divinity."

Jude is 24 & from London.

24th May - Mary

"I feel that Mary is a part of me."

Mary is Greek Cypriot.

25th May - Kathleen

"I am very blessed to be able to say the rosary with other people: in New Zealand every day after Mass, we say our rosary. To me it's venerating the mother, but it also brings Jesus that much closer because, as we say the mysteries, His life is there revealed before us. I find Mary is a wonderful support and I want her to look after my large family of 7 children; those that have strayed from the faith, that she will bring them back, please God."

Kathleen is from New Zealand.

Our Lady of Medjugorje's message to Marija Pavlović, 25 May 2012:

"Dear children! Also today I call you to conversion and to holiness. God desires to give you joy and peace through prayer but you, little children, are still far away - attached to the earth and to earthly things. Therefore, I call you anew: open your heart and your sight towards God and the things of God - and joy and peace will come to reign in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call."

"Cari figli!

Marco is from London.

28th May - Maria

"As far as I know when I was child, you cannot go to the father without going through the mother as well. So, Mary for me is the Mother of God and when I pray, sometimes I pray for her intercession to be heard by the Father."

Maria is from the Philippines.

29th May - Catherine

"Our Lady is very precious to me. I think she is watching over me and my family and protecting us."

Catherine is from Ireland.

30th May - Sudhir

"For me, Mary represents the new Eve. For me, when I look at her, I see her as the person who has won salvation for me in a sense because it is her yes that enabled God's plan to be worked out. And I look at her really as an icon of how to pray."

Sudhir is from London.

31st May - Feast of the Visitation - Gemma

"Mary, our mother is an inspiration to me because she said to God, completely and wholly said yes to God and accepted His will. … I also find the Magnificat that she sang on her visitation to Elizabeth, I find that really inspirational. It's a song of love for God and her soul magnifies the Lord and her spirit rejoices in God her Saviour, and I really aspire to those words myself, and I want my spirit to rejoice in my God and to know His love."

Gemma is 27 & from England.
