1st October - Feast of St Theresa of Lisieux - Christianne
"Time and time again Mary overcame such difficult things with such gentle and modest grace, and that is a very beautiful thing."

Our Lady's message to Mirjana Soldo, Međugorje, 2nd October 2012:
"Dear children, I am calling you and am coming among you because I need you. I need apostles with a pure heart. I am praying, and you should also pray, that the Holy Spirit may enable and lead you, that he may illuminate you and fill you with love and humility. Pray that he may fill you with grace and mercy. Only then will you understand me, my children. Only then will you understand my pain because of those who have not come to know the love of God. Then you will be able to help me. You will be my light-bearers of God’s love. You will illuminate the way for those who have been given eyes but do not want to see. I desire for all of my children to see my Son. I desire for all of my children to experience his Kingdom. Again I call you and implore you to pray for those whom my Son has called. Thank you."
2nd October - Feast of our Holy Guardian Angels - Angela
"Our Lady is a mother for me and for all people in the world. But sometimes we think that she is very far from us but she is very close to our hearts. So I invite you to pray more with her because she is the key of heaven and the key of the heart of Jesus."

4th October - Feast of St Francis of Assisi - Megan
"Our Lady is the most wonderful, wonderful, lovely mother I could ever have in my life and I just love so much. I wish my children would love her as much as I love her because she is a mother for them as well."
Megan is from the Seychelles.
5th October - Feast of St Maria Faustina - Patricia Mary
"I just am so grateful for her mercy, because she never said 'You can't come' or 'I haven't time' or 'You really haven't behaved properly'. It's not like that at all. And we have that longing, we have that longing for God, and we have a hole and it needs filling, and God is the only one that can fill that, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. And we are blessed that we have the Mother that they gave to us, and she is, she is everything and she does lead us to Jesus. She's like our little guide. Thank you Mary, thank you Mother. Ave Maria!"
Patricia is English but has spent the last 28 years in Australia.
6th October - Anthony
"Both my grandmother and my mother had a very strong devotion to the Blessed Mother. They taught me about Fatima, Our Lady of Fatima, and they said the rosary almost every day. So they instilled a devotion to the rosary and the Blessed Mother in me at a very young age."

7th October - Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary - Rose
"Our Holy Mother came into my life many years ago when I was a child and she has stayed with me all my life. When I went to Medjugorje she came into my life in a special way and now I pray the rosary every day. Our Lady has helped me through many trials and tribulations, and I couldn't live without her. And she's the Queen of heaven and the Queen of my heart."

9th October - Feast of Blessed John Henry Newman - Michael
"I love Our Lady. St Ignatius of Loyola said ‘If you love Our Lady, it is a voyage to heaven."
Michael is from Malta.
10th October - Roseann
"For me, Mary was my invitation into the Church and for a year I just prayed to her and I realised that one day I was praying to her Son. So for me she’ll always remain the call back to her Son."

11th October - Beginning of the Year of Faith - Sara
"My conversion was through the Divine Mercy but it also highlighted the importance of saying the rosary and praying to our Holy Mary, Mother of God. Praying the rosary to the Holy Mary, Mother of God, is one of the most precious graces in life. And for me in my heart, each time I pray the rosary I am granted the graces. It might not be quickly, it might take some time, but she looks after me like she looks after everyone, and she fills my heart with love, kindness, and quells any anxiety I have when I pray the rosary. For this I am truly grateful to the Holy Mary, Mother of God, our holy mother, and she means everything to me, the Mother of Jesus, Jesus our Lord. Amen."

"When I was young, I remember my mother taught me to pray the rosary and as we grew up, ! & my brother, we used every day to recite the rosary and in that way we developed a great love to our Mother Mary and we have witnessed the great help she has given us, from our childhood up to now. So I am really feeling a great love of Mary and, as a priest, we know that Mother Mary is in a special way, as the mother of Christ, is also the Mother of priests, because as priests we are called to live the mysteries of Christ."

13th October - Brother Paolo
"Our Lady for me, she’s the one who led me to meet Jesus, and she’s the one who really gave me the grace to know Him and to pray to Him and to follow Him. And still every day I open my heart and her heart, so she can bring me, with all my brothers and sisters, my community, to know God and His Son, Jesus, and to worship them; and to be her Son, as she is an example for us. So for me, Mary is the street to Jesus, the most sure one and the best one and the most swift street to go to Jesus. Thank you, Mary."
Brother Paolo, from Italy, is a brother of the Franciscan Fraternity of Bethany (the bells in the background were being rung in St Peter's Square at the end of the Mass to open the Year of Faith, Annus Fidei).
14th October - Marilyn

16th October - Feast of St Margaret Mary Alacoque - Perrine
"For me, Mary represents the way to purity, the way to her Son Jesus Christ. She is just showing us by her love, par sa douceur maternelle, le chemin vers son fils Jesus Christ. C'est elle qui nous porte vers la foi."
Perrine is from France & gives her quelque chose de Marie half in English, half in French.
17th October - Feast of St Ignatius of Antioch - Brice
"Mother Mary for me is the woman who’s always protected me in my life, and unfortunately on my side I’m the man that has not always listened to her. But she’s always been very loving, very listening and very patient with me, and I thank her every day for what she does."

18th October - Feast of St Luke, the Evangelist - Father Joseph
"Mother Mary has a very, very important role in our life. Mother Mary is the mother of the Eucharist, and Mother Mary is always led by the Holy Spirit, and Mother Mary is our loving and living mother. And this living Mother will lead us to Jesus, and Mother Mary shows us how we can proclaim the Kingdom of God in a very, very graceful way. All the difficulties and sufferings in her life, she went forward and totally trusted in the Lord."

19th October - Feast of Saints John de Brebeuf, Isaac Jogues & their companions - Johnny
"Mary our Mother is the model in our faith, because we can learn, we can know and we can have strong faith in God if we follow how Mary our Mother shown: from the very beginning when she received the message of being the Mother of God and up to the end when she was witnessing Jesus on the Cross. So she showed us very strongly as Christians how we must be in our faith, especially nowadays where we find our difficulties here and there, so Mary is praying for us every time and is calling us, because she is the model in our faith."

20th October - Roseline
"Mary to me is everything in my life. I don’t know how to really separate her from any part of my life. Whatever thing that I am today in the Church or the society is thanks to the intercession of a wonderful mother. She is a caring mother, a patient mother, persevering, tolerant. I mean I don't know how to describe her virtues but she inspires me a lot. Each day when I get up in the morning, the first name I call is 'Mary'. Because I know when I say 'Mary', she says 'Jesus', she passes on the honour to the Son. If I look at what God has done in my life, I see myself unworthy, but I know that it is thanks to the intercession of that great woman called Mary, the Virgin of Nazareth. I love her, she is my everything, and I wish the world could know who she is, then all the sufferings and pains of the world would be over, if we all surrendered everything to her intercession. Because the bond that exists between her and her Son is comparable to nothing."

22nd October - Feast of Blessed John Paul II - Mary
"Mary to me my Mother is love. She is the greatest love you can ever feel for your children, she feels for you because you're her child. That same love, it's amazing. When I think that this same with which she loved her son, Jesus Christ, she loves us. It's awesome to me. It makes me weep and I love her so much."

23rd October - Don
"I am especially attached to Mary because she is the sweet lady who, with no doubts in her mind, was approached with the situation of being married to Joseph, being found pregnant with child, not understanding fully what was happening to her, but the main point is that she had no misgivings, she had no doubts in her mind that something was moving her to become the first yes person, to say 'yes' to something very important which, for us as individuals, when situations come our way, we often let them pass us by not even considering saying yes to the Lord, yes to what the Lord may want, to what Mary wants, and to what the saints want."

"Mary is called Nayin Agunda [? please do get in touch with Totus2us if you know the correct spelling] in Apache. And then she was born and then gave a child with a virgin birth and we strongly believe that she has blessed us with a child called Jesus. There's a lot of blessing, a lot of words that she has given us of her son. Then Our Lady, we call her Our Lady of Guadalupe too. She has been with us for years, a long time before us."

"Moi, comme séminariste, disciple de Jésus-Christ, j'aime Marie comme ma Maman. Toute fois que j'ai les difficultés les plus éminentes que je n'arrive pas peut-être à comprendre, je m'abondonne à elle à travers la prière du rosaire. La plupart du temps, je me trouve consolé .. j'arrive à avoir des solutions devant une difficulté. Donc, je peux dire la Vierge Marie est un secours pour moi quand je n'arrive pas à comprendre certaines situations de ma vocation, elle est une accompaniatrice pour ma vocation. Elle est aussi un conseilleur pour ma vocation et donc c'est peut-être une voix indispensable pour moi pour mieux comprendre l'appel que son fils me fait."
